Graduate Students on Internship

 

Netz Mallory Netz, M.S.

Mallory is a graduate student mentored by Dr. Fedele in the Pediatric Behavioral Health Lab. She is currently on her internship at Children’s Mercy Kansas City in the Pediatric Psychology Track. She previously attended the University of Nebraska – Lincoln where she received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with minors in Chemistry and Humanities in Medicine. During her time at the University of Florida, Mallory has completed her master’s thesis examining self-management behaviors in emerging adolescents with asthma and their caregivers. She is currently working on her dissertation project in the UF Pediatric Allergy Clinic, which is examining triadic communication during clinic encounters for youth with food allergy. TunerElise Turner, M.S.

Elise is a graduate student primarily mentored by Dr. Fedele in the Pediatric Behavioral Health Lab. She is currently on her internship at the Oregon Health and Science University in the Neuropsychology Track. She graduated from Drexel University’s master’s in psychology program in June 2015 where she completed a master’s thesis examining the relationship between neuropsychological functioning, cognitive engagement and reading achievement in pediatric brain tumor survivors. Elise is currently working on her dissertation, which is examining the role of sleep-disordered breathing in attentional and executive functioning in youth with sickle cell disease. Jenny Warnick - HeadshotJenny Warnick, M.S.

Jenny is a graduate student mentored by Dr. Janicke in the Pediatric Psychology Lab. She is currently on her internship at Brown University in the Child/Pediatric Track. She graduated in 2013 from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. During her undergraduate career, she volunteered as a research assistant at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, and Northwestern University’s Psychology Department. Prior to joining Dr. Janicke’s lab at the University of Florida, Jenny worked for Dr. Bonnie Spring at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine Center for Behavior and Health. There she obtained extensive research and clinical experiences conducting mHealth studies targeting obesity and cardiovascular disease prevention. Jenny’s current interests include weight behaviors, mobile health technology, and treatment adherence in pediatric populations. Jenny Warnick CV

Andrew is a graduate student primarily mentored by Dr. McNamara who is currently completing his predoctoral internship at Texas Children’s Hospital. Andrew graduated from Vassar College with a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2013. Before beginning as a graduate student at UF in 2014, Andrew volunteered as a research assistant for Drs. Janicke and McNamara for one year, where he developed an interest in clinical child and pediatric psychology, with a particular focus in OCD and anxiety disorders. During his graduate training, Andrew has continued to pursue clinically applicable research aimed at better understanding the nature and treatment of childhood OCD, anxiety, and related disorders.
