Thank you for your interest in the Clinical Child and Pediatric Program!
Broadly, prospective students who have a strong interest in clinical child psychology, pediatric psychology, health promotion, and health behavior change are encouraged to apply. Please see respective lab pages for each faculty member to learn about ongoing research initiatives.
Consistent with the scientist-practitioner model of the Department of Clinical & Health Psychology, graduate students are expected to be very active in research throughout their training. Each graduate student is typically engaged in numerous research projects in addition to their thesis and dissertation projects. As such, our labs are best suited for students who are pursuing careers that emphasize research as opposed to clinical practice. Previous graduate students have attained faculty positions in academic medical centers and universities.
