Frequently Asked Questions

  • What does the study involve?

    • Families in this study will participate in one 40-minute in person study visit (either our research space in
      the UF Health Hospital or in the family’s home).
    • During the study visit, parents will complete a brief series of questionnaires while a study member
      measures children’s height, weight, and body fat percentage.
    • Parents and children will also be asked to track the child’s eating on 3 separate days within 2 weeks of
      their study visit.
  • How long is the program?

    • Families may be involved in the study up to one month.
  • Where will the program take place?

    • The initial visit will take place either at the UF research space in the basement of UF Health Dental
      Tower or in the family’s home, whatever is more convenient for the family.
    • Families will then be able to track children’s eating either independently or over the phone with one of
      our team members.
  • Is there compensation for this program?

    • Families in this study may receive up to $20 for participating in all aspects of the study
